R training & statistical consulting in Switzerland
Based in Zurich, I help startups, research groups, and technical teams across Switzerland use R, Python, and statistics to answer practical questions. I work particularly with organizations in the Zurich area and the Lake Geneva region—including Lausanne and Geneva—both remotely and on site.
My background spans physics, building science, data science, and software engineering. The approach is the same across these fields: start with a clear question, examine the assumptions, and make the analysis reproducible.
Corporate R training
For teams getting started with R or looking to make their day-to-day analysis more reliable, I can help with:
- Working with data: importing, cleaning, summarizing, and visualizing it.
- Applied statistics: choosing methods, checking assumptions, and interpreting results.
- Reproducible analysis: turning a collection of scripts into an analysis that colleagues can understand, rerun, and maintain.
The starting point is what your team needs to do and what they already know. We can discuss the topics, exercises, and workshop format around that. The aim is for participants to understand the reasoning as well as the R code, and to apply both in their own work.

Statistical consulting for startups
You may have data but still be unsure what it says about your product, or need to design an experiment before collecting any. I can help turn the decision you face into a question that an analysis can usefully answer.
Examples of work we could tackle together include:
- Experiment design: deciding what to measure, how to compare groups, and how much data an experiment needs.
- Product and retention analysis: examining whether a change leads to lasting engagement, and choosing measures that reflect the question.
- Statistical review: checking an analysis, its assumptions, and whether the conclusions follow from the evidence.
- Implementation in R: building a reproducible analysis that your team can inspect and continue using.

Working together
Tell me what you are trying to achieve, where you are stuck, and any timing constraints. For training, it helps to know the size of the team and their experience with R. For consulting, a brief description of the decision and the available data is enough to start.
We can then agree on a scope and useful deliverables, whether that is a workshop, a review of an existing analysis, or help working through a specific problem.
Most consulting work can be done remotely. Workshops and selected working sessions can also be delivered on site in Switzerland, particularly around Zurich, Lausanne, and Geneva.
